Manual winches are usually used for smaller workloads and are resource-efficiently driven by human power, which pulls the load by cranking the winch drum by hand. The gear-driven winch rope drum pulls the load by turning the rope wound on it. It is equipped with an automatic brake, which makes it safer to operate. When the winch rope is pulling the load and the winch drum remains stationary, the brake is automatically applied.
